I'm using a Xeon. Also, r2 has less bullshit bloat and I cn pick and choose what I want rather than have an all-in-one consmer package.

 

I've enabled Aero themes and Dreamscene, have Windows Live Essentials installed, and so on, but no Microsoft games or other BS.

 

R2 also reieves a different branch of updates and it's far more secure than the consumer variants, and will receive the extended updates for free.

Xeons will run standard Windows just fine.

 

Extended updates makes sense though.

Obviously from my post, I'm not an idiot. I know that they run consumer Windows fine. But server OSs are designed with server CPUs in mind.
