Dear LinusTechTips forum,

I have an ASUS Zenbook 14 UX433FN. Just bought it a few months ago, if I remember so. I am trying to get a BIOS update. When I downloaded the file, extract the zip file, it doesn't show me a batch file, neither an application but a weird extension file named UX433FNAS.302. From here, I don't know what should I do to use the file.

Please help me if anyone knows.

Thank you,

     David Anderson

Is there a reason you want to update the BIOS ?  You know that can sometimes cause more problems then the so called problems you think you have to update BIOS to begin with.  The 302 extension is sketchy.  It should have a ROM extension usually.  You can try putting that file on USB stick or locally on a drive then go to your BIOS by hitting DEL upon post up and go to Update BIOS in the BIOS and choose that location where the file is and see if it will work when you hit enter.  If it doesn't work then personally I would forget about it, unless you have a issue with the Zenbook.  If you have a problem do let us know what that problem is.  Usually it is not a good idea to update BIOS when nothing is wrong with your comp or laptop and what not.

Thank you for your help. I just basically think that updating BIOS is recommended for computers or laptops, but if you say so then I will rethink about updating BIOS because my laptop doesn't have any problems currently.
