Adding more RAM?

Currently i have 2x4GB of DDR4 ram in my pc. When I try to play VR games I always run out of RAM. So can I just pop in some combination of any of these 3 old RAM sticks in my PC and get some extra RAM? Or it wouldn't help because they are old.

Nope that wouldn't work because of multiple reasons:

 

1 it wouldn't physical fit in your motherboard

2 the memory controller on your CPU doesn't know what to do with 

3 this memory is painfully slow compared to the rest

 

If you want more DDR4 ram, you can buy it from any local retailer
