PC overheated !!!...Help!!!

I have done something so stupid today. Please don't hurt me more ...I know this was so stupid. 

My new PC with 9900k cooled with aio and my 1080ti overheated because I am totally stupid. Well, when we cook I put a big towel over my PC so it doesn't take all the smell into it. It is always off when I do that. But today I just wanted to check something and left the towel on it. Found my self playing a game for a about an hour when my PC shut itself down with the shutting down sequence. (Not just shut off) . I screamed how stupid I was that I forgot that towel. Took it off and heard a rattle sound what I think was the hot water in the aio. Second stupid thing was I immediately turned the pc back on...my brains started working again and I shut it off right away again after about 20 seconds. After a while I turned it back on. 

But now my PC randomly turns off and reboots. Critical error event 41.without blue screen. This happend once in chrome and once just pushing the update button in CPU-Z. Another time just being in the explorer. Just great. I broke my PC. So the question is now what did break? It could be everything. I am not sure if this was before, but sometimes a when I open a program like chrome or CPU Z it displays everything with a very short white flicker. Could have not noticed before though.

Tested my GPU with 3dmark and worked fine. No artifacts or such in game or desktop. Did I mess up my CPU? 

I am not sure. Maybe somebody with a lot of knowledge can tell me what my next steps should be. Or can tell me right away what is busted. This was just plain stupid. I need help

I will take the GPU out and try it with the igpu. I really hope it is not the GPU that is broken. That would be the worst of all.

anyways, try disassembling it, and see if the GPU has any burn marks. Try using iGPU.

GPU seems fine the way she looks. I am using my igpu now. Seems to be working for now. But will do some more tests. 

Will be updating if I come across something.
