hi, is there a way to make all excel files (xls) open with the same settings?
more precisely I want all excel files that I open to have the same font, the same letter size, the same row height, the same collumn width pixel, without me having to edit (set) them all the time. This would ease my work alot, so please if u know a way to do it, I'd appreciate. Thanks.

PS: I dont need other software, I'm just looking for a way to make excel open all the files (xls excel files) with the same settings: same font, same size, same row height, same column distance, same wrap text etc

You might be able to set defaults in the settings, but making all documents automatically conform to that isn't possible to my knowledge.

You might be able to accomplish it by saving the worksheet as Text (Tab delimited), then open that and copy then paste it over into Excel (or maybe open it directly if possible).

I tried making the default settings how I wanted (by editing the Book file in the XLStart folder) but it only works for new excel sheets. If I open an excel made by someone else (downloaded) it wont have the default settings I made.

And that's because the formatting is saved into the file. You'd have to copy everything and paste it into a new sheet without keeping formatting for what you want to happen.

Okay the only thing I found that can ease my work is to make a macro while editing a file the way I want (set it on a shorcut key) and then use the shorcut key on each document I want. It works fine..

Correct. You might look for extentions to do this but I think that's the optimal solution.
