I earlier posted a thread in here for suggestions regarding with SSDs and i think i'm probabbly going to get the most voted SSD from my list.

I wont be going home for 1 week, and my problem now is i really want to set up the SSD, update windows and install all apps that i need using a temp PC on the house that i will be staying. (Because they also have a fiber connection, and i dont have that.)

My question is: Is it okay to install OS on the SSD using another PC, and after updating all apps and installed games, then install the SSD to my main PC once i got back to my house? Will there be any problems with that?

Shouldn’t be too much of a problem... just don’t install too many obscure drivers... then you should be fine... windows will frak out with licensing though, as it will know you’ve changed computers... maybe keep it on a trial until you put it in the new one

Got Cha! I'm thinking of using the onboard GPU temporarily while setting up Windows. Should i just download Windows with latest OS from their site? or manually update it?

Updates should be ok and installed before you move it... just to make sure any bug fixes, etc.

What Windows licence are you using? Unless you know for sure you're using a shrink wrap retail key I'd avoid activating it so that you don't risk locking it to another motherboard.

I'm using kmspico. XD i don't have a legit copy of windows and i'm doing method this for almost 10 years.
