No budget.  Cad, Photoshop, web design, Office, coding, web browsing, maybe some light Solid Works.

 

None of which should impact the answer to an inquiry with a black and white factual answer, with the potential exception of thermal throttling.

Well, the Dell Precision 5530 is the thinnest I've yet to come across at 16.82mm, so I guess that 16.81mm would be the place to start.
