anything below 80 is fine but the cpu will work up to abou 95. But your temps are very very cool

Hi there, I was hoping I might be able to get an answer to this query:

Please note - I am new to PC building, I apologise in advance for any stupid questions;

I have just purchased a brand new computer which has a i9-9900k and a MSI RTX 2080 Ti Lightning Z, and I have noticed that my CPU is usually > 45-50 degrees. This sounds extremely hot to me. Is this normal? My CPU Cooler is a Kraken X72.

Also, how would I be able to make it cooler?

Thanks!

-Aiden.

I forgot to mention: this occurs when gaming. Usually it starts off at about 35 and eventually rises to 45-50 while gaming.

That's quite cool for that CPU under load, you're all good.

those are absolutely fine temps at full load, i wouldn't be worried with anything less 80C. But since you've have a liquid cooler, those temps still seem reasonable.

Would you think that those temps are good for a liquid cooler? I thought it would be colder than 50 to be honest, but then again, you would have more experience than myself.

i'd stick to below 80 but intel specifies that it should work with anything below 95 degrees

I think 100 is throttle range

I've seen my chip hit 95c before I delidded in RealBench, but it never throttled.

Keep voltage under 1.35 and temp under 90 and you are prob fine
