i ended up canceling the asus mobo and ordered the GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS Ultra instead. i just remembered that the CPU power is different. I have an HX850i How should I power the 8+4 pin CPU?

Plug an 8 pin and a 4 pin from your PSU into the mobo. HX850i should have two CPU outs, usually both 4+4 so you can do a full 8+8, 8+4, 8, or 4.

I just ordered some new components:

I would like a 360mm AIO for my 9900k that will work with aura sync or an adapter that will allow an aio to work with aura sync. I know that there is the Asus ROG RYUJIN 360 but its not available...

Here is where I would keep my frolics if I had any.

Honestly, I'd just buy the cheapest 360mm AIO you can find, and get some fans that you know work with aura sync. They'll almost certainly be better fans, and make things much easier. And it seems like your budget is okay to do that (Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong about that)

Main Rig: R9 5950X @ PBO, RTX 3090, 64 GB DDR4 3666, InWin 101, Full Hardline Watercooling

Server: R7 1700X @ 4.0 GHz, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB DDR4 3000, Cooler Master NR200P, Full Soft Watercooling

LAN Rig: R5 3600X @ PBO, RTX 2070, 32 GB DDR4 3200, Dan Case A4-SFV V4, 120mm AIO for the CPU

HTPC: i7-7700K @ 4.6 GHz, GTX 1050 Ti, 16 GB DDR4 3200, AliExpress K39, IS-47K Cooler

Router: R3 2200G @ stock, 4GB DDR4 2400, what are cases, stock cooler

I don't have a problem...

you probably won't get far with overclocking I'm afraid, asus kinda cheaped out on the vrms with the hero, code and formula

doesn't corsair aios work with aura? it's both asetek, so performance is about the same

you could use the 4 pin if you have the connection, but as you're not using ln2 on your chip, you probably won't notice the difference and it'll boot without the 4 pin
