They become rigid after installing the block. Just use one washer for each screw if you feel that the standoffs are too loose.

EDIT: Do you suggest putting the washers infront or behind the motherboard, or does it not matter?

Do the standoffs have to hold the backplate completely rigid before installing the cpu block or do they become rigid after you finish connecting the block. Just wondering whether to use more washers... ;/

you use zero washers.

especially the one that come in the H100i kit. those are metallic and can cause short

circuiting on the motherboard. the "sloppiness" is from the premium thick motherboards

with multiple layers and the extra room is to they can be used on such boards.

install as per instructions and the kit will function properly. adding washers will only increase

the bending on the attaching mounts and not really apply any more pressure.
