Hello guys i have got a problem with my pc, the problem is that when ever i try to play any game and i mean any the cpu and the gpu rarely go to 80% usage most of the time they sit around 40% CPU and about 40%GPU, and the most weird of all is when i play a game with high/ultra the fps stays the same but the cpu usage goes up from 40% to 60/80% usage. How can i make my pc go 90+% on every game i play?

My ecs are :

2x Intel xeon x5355

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 770

8x 1gb 800ghz ram DDR2

power suply 750W

And yes this is a server from 2003

You are sporting a rather slow 8 cores (and some fairly low memory bandwidth), are you examining your per core usage in games or just the overall CPU usage? If it's at 40% CPU usage max, you might have 3 cores maxed out and the rest can't be leveraged.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

A dual socket system may impact the performance of applications that are not aware of it because there's a non-trivial amount of overhead to share data between the processors. Try setting the process affinity to one half or the other (assuming this is how Windows reports it) and seeing if performance improvements.

My cpu use all my cores even though sometimes only a phew cores go 60 and the rest stay at 40. I can play nier automate on high setting so i dont see why i cant play GTA 5. What i have tried is see how far i can push it to have it play at 90+cpu usage, and it seems to me that when i go under 30 fps on any game that the cpu will go up and if the game is at 40 fps for example it will stay as low as before.
