Hello guys,

 

I have a problem with the BIOS...

It's not posting what it supposed too and i don't know how to fix it.

My RAM is working at 1067MHz and i assume that's the reason my CPU is running freakin hot.

 

MOBO: MSI B450 A-PRO

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws, 2x8GB 3200MHz

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (Average Temp 81 Celsius)

CPU, take it apart and put it back together, checking the thermal paste and making sure the cooler is on snug.  Reseat the RAM.

 

Then tell us what happens.

What CPU cooler are you using?  Stock one?

 

Is that temp in games or when stress testing in AIDA64 or Prime95, etc?

 

What does HWINFO64 or CPU-Z say about your system speeds and RAM frequency?

Speccy is horseshit, don't use it.

 

And no, RAM won't make your CPU run hot. Make sure that there isn't any plastic protective film on the cooler coldplate and that it is mounted properly. While you are at it, overclock the RAM, because Ryzen loves fast RAM (your kit seems to be rated for 3200 Mhz at CL16, while you are getting 2133 Mhz at CL15)
