I have seen the Mayhem Aurora Liquid for water cooling but I am not convinced if I should buy it. I want to use because it looks great but it seems... different. I dont trust it. Can I get some help?

Unless you want to deal with changing tubing every 3 months and blocks every year or 2 along with many blocks and tubing being incompatible, no get Mayhams pastel

Mayhems Aurora is only intended to be used a few days. For shows and the likes.

I'd go with DI Water and mayhems biocide [came from Pastel, a horrible mess when cleaning]

I'd suggets a tube res like the Phobya Balancer, as 5.25" bays are a bitch to fill and bleed ^^

Frost upon these cigarettes.... lipstick on the window pane...

I have a motherboard waterblock that prevents me from using anything that even slightly causes rust like DI water. I was looking at the primochill coolant though

what kind of motherboard block are you using? DI should be used in any loop. if there

is something in the loop that rusts, you do not use it. too many small orifices and

passages that can become clogged from rust particles.

All the premixed coolants are based on DI water aswell. The only thing color does, and Pastel did to my two EK 680 Blocks is corrode.

Also it can gather up the particles and clogg up the rads and so on.

And you have to empty the loop in 6-12 months to fully clean and redo the tubing / liquid if you're using coloured stuff.

According to Ghost's Watercooling FAQ: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/5435-watercooling-faq-some-basic-qa/

"Q: Mayhems coolant warnings

DO NOT USE Mayhems Aurora. This is a show coolant only and is not for 24/7 use. It looks great but it will eventually clog your blocks and pump to a point where everything will need to be torn completely apart to be cleaned or even just thrown out.

Also please go to Mayhems site and look at the compatibility if you are purchasing any of Mayhems coolant. If in doubt They have a Facebook page and when I asked a question about compatibility I got a reply within a few hours. There are some combos that will just not work. Do not complain if you had issues because you didn't read the site. "
