Student laptop ?

Hello geeks,

 

So I'm starting college in a couple of weeks and I need to purchase a laptop. I'd really appreciate if you could recommend me some devices that may tick of few if not all the boxes listed below or at least match some of the criteria while not breaking the bank. Btw I'm looking forward to study computer or tech related stuffs, most probably software development or computer engineering so, I guess performance will be a deal breaker here. 

• Minimal design
• Good performance ( at least decent enough for some Fortnite )
• Good battery life
• Budget price ( around $1000 )
• Windows 10
• Good keyboard & mouse pad

Where are you from? Min how many hours of battery life? No preference on weight?

Something like the Lenovo Legion Y530 is great.

For $1000 you can get i7, 1050 Ti

As for battery life, some undervolting, battery saving mode and brightness reduce can amp up to 5 or 6 hours
