I'm having a bit of trouble deciding between the Asus Z87A, Asrock Extreme4, Asrock Extreme6, MSI Z87-G45, and Gigabyte UD3H, and I can't really tell what to look for other than cosmetics to help make up my mind. Can anyone give me a few pros and cons of each?

You're and your are not the same. Neither are their, there, and they're. Defiantly and Definitely are definitely not the same. Definately and Rediculous are not words, and you should feel bad for misspelling them. If English is your first language, you don't have a learning disorder, and you get any of these wrong, you are making the entire forum slightly dumber by doing so. Please take the extra three seconds to type properly, and have a nice day.

Really depends on what you need really... So what do you need in a mobo?

I need the thing to be rock-solid stable, I would like it to have good OC and SLI capability, and a good set of utilities would be nice.

I have the z87-a and its more than I need, especially for my first build. It has SLI capabilities, OC's well, and has alot of things that higher end mobos include. I can definately recommend it unless you are going for a color theme seeing as it has gold peices on it.

Let me rephrase the question slightly, since I've decided to try something else with this build: Is there any reason to go with any of these boards over the Asrock? I'd like to try for a black and white build, or as close as I can get to one, and there's a distinct shortage of completely colorless high-performing motherboards for Intel unless I'm way off the mark on something. Of the options I have, I'm leaning towards the Asrock for that reason alone - the behemoth that is the Dark Rock Pro 2 should cover most of the gold on it, and the Kraken G10 should account for the rest. I'm mostly looking for any reasons why that might be a bad idea, in case I end up spending 150 bucks on something I shouldn't.

If its color you want then go for it. your still going to get the performance you would on the others, its just just the features are "different". not necessarily better or worse but no company is the same

The AsRock Extreme4 seems like excellent value to me, only had mine for a week now but I love pretty much everything about it. I kinda downgraded (from ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe W/D) but I needed to get out of mini-ITX for my crossfired Star Citizen future. I chose AsRock this time because the feedback on their Z77 boards was impressive given their "rocky" (har har) past.

I also run the same overclock on my 3570K as I did on the ASUS board without issues. (4.6 ghz at 1.280v)

I haven't tried reaching the personal best clock (5.06ghz) for that chip, but I don't think I will since it'd be just for fun. Don't want to keep my chip at over 1.4v.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
