So I recently got a pretty good deal on a GTX 1070 Ti ( for 200$) and I'm want to upgrade my CPU and Motherboard to avoid a bottleneck

I work as a photographer so there is a lot of photoshop, video editing and such but I also do some "not so light" gaming on the side (which is why I went for a 1070TI )

Right now I've got an Intel I5 7500 with a Gigabyte H270-HD3 motherboard

I was thinking of a Ryzen 2600 with an AsRock B450 motherboard, they look like pretty good value.

Also, i know Ryzen likes high-speed RAM so a recommendation for a 32GB kit would be great, doesn't have to be the best or flashy I'm strictly looking for bang-for-buck value

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

P.S - keep in mind that I'm working with a fairly tight budget so I'm looking for affordable with good value

A ryzen 2600 or 2600X will be really good, although if you can wait the Ryzen 3000 series will be coming out soon.

As far as RAM goes Corsair LPX or Team-Vulcan is good value, you will probably be wanting a 3000 or 3200 MHz  kit.

You think that the 3000 series will drop the price of the 2600 ? cause it already kinda cheap as it is

It will probably be slightly more expensive, although it should also provide better performance for the price. Really up to you, if you think the 2600 is good enough then go for it. If you already have a decent cooler you should be able to overclock it quite easily as well.

Another thing to add is that depending on your workload, more cores may be more important than clock speed, or vice versa.

I've got the Noctua NH-U14S (just need to buy an AM4 kit for it) and I'm not gonna push it to the limit so i think it should be fine

32GB ram https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zc98TW/team-vulcan-32gb-2-x-16gb-ddr4-3000-memory-tlred432g3000hc16cdc01

as said ryzen 3000 is coming and it will probably drop the price of the 2600(x) by $20-30 but then you should be able to get the ryzen 3000 equivalent for just a little more than the 2600 now, should be a significant improvement both in core count and speed
