Installing Mac OS on a PC

Hi, so I recently had the thought of trying Mac OS on my PC. Currently I am using windows 10 and I wanna know if the OS installation is different from a normal windows installation and if I need a Mac device to get the boot device ready? Also I heard that the experience isn't the same as on an apple device. Why is that? Thanks to everyone who replies.

Because most things will be broken. You will be spending at least 3 days googling troubleshoot solutions and do crazy system hacks that will scare even a tech savvy, command line seasoned Linux power user, just to get your computer to do the basics. Even then, a lot of things are still gonna be broken if your system will ever run at all. Hackingtosh depends a lot on your hardware's because it is literally hacks. Think of trying to jailbreak your iPhone difficulty but times 10.

Hackintoshing isn't actually that hard. It's obviously harder than a simple Windows install, but there are many tutorials online and there's a community you can get help from. Basically, if you can read, you can do it.

The process differs between desktops and laptops, and the CPU platform.

AMD requires a bit more tweaking, and some Apple stuff won't work (like iMessage, FaceTime, etc.)

If you have an Intel CPU, check out this guide: https://internet-install.gitbook.io/macos-internet-install/

If you have an AMD CPU, check out this one: https://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=5902

Both guides don't require a real Mac.

Nvidia GPUs aren't supported on macOS Mojave for now, you'll either have to use the older macOS High Sierra, or use the iGPU (if Intel)

There's also tonymacx86, but I don't recommend it.
