So I have a Sapphire Vega 64 graphics card and when I use AMD Wattman to change the fan curve for when it gets to higher temperatures my display drivers crash not so shortly after. Nothing is overclocked, just changed the fan curve.

Components:

MSI Z270 Gaming Plus

i5-6600k

Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64

Seasonic Focus Gold 850WPSU

16x1 Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz RAM

It's been happening for a while now, it's just that every now and then i try it to see if it works and it doesn't. Multiple different drivers have been tried in the past.

That's weird, but maybe try using other programs (not wattman), like MSI afterburner ?

I think there's a bug with MSI Afterburner and fan control. Not once have I been able to get the fan control speed to work properly and I think I've seen others with the problem. I haven't used it in a while though so i'll give it a try.
