Replacing gpu

Go to solution Solved by Uptivuptiz,

When having a GPU installed in your system you should use the display outputs from that instead of the ones on your motherboard. When installing a new GPU you (usually) don't have to worry about drivers missing as windows will install them automatically. However it is still recommended to go to Nvidia website and download the latest drivers.

Hello!

Im replacing my gtx 970 with a rtx 2060. The problem is: my mobo only have dvi-d and vga output, and I dont have these cables laying around at the moment. Do I have to get a dvi-d cable, or would I be able to install the new drivers while using my old gpu, then switch gpus?
