Hi,
I'm trying to set a custom refresh rate for one of my displays, but I get the error message "the resolution is not supported".
I think the problem is that when I click the create custom resolution button in the settings,
the custom settings are not filled in like they were with the older driver where I only had to change the refresh rate.

Adrenaline driver version is 19.2.2

My specs:
Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming
Ryzen 5 2600X
G.Skill Trident Z 2x8Gb DDR4 3000MHz
Asus Strix R9 390X

I use AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher and CRU Custom resolution Utility; my monitor is overclocked from 60 to 75 Hz.

I'm pretty sure you're using HDMI and an old revision for that matter. Use a Display Port cable. If I'm wrong and you're already using a DP cable, then it's probably a bug or gpu limitation.

My PC is a fast boyo:

6700K - 32GB - 1080 - 256GB EVO

^^You don't need more info than this right?^^

I don't have Display ports on my displays. Also that still doesn't explain why I could create custom resolution settings in the earlier version of the driver

Then its a bug. Rollback or try reinstalling the drivers. Just because you created a custom res doesn't mean its displaying correctly. Can't run 1080p 144Hz over hdmi or anything near it.

I was running 1080p 75Hz through HDMI for the past 4 month without any problems. I know it was working because I could choose 75Hz screen refresh rate in advanced display settings. I only want to get that same refresh rate back again. I'll try rolling back when I get home

If it was in the advance display settings then it definitely won't require a custom resolution. If windows can detect it then the graphics drivers will as well. There should be an option for that

It was in advanced display settings AFTER I set the custom resolution in the radeon settings. The display's max refresh rate is 60Hz thus I couldn't set it to 75Hz in advanced display settings without creating the custom resolution, just as I can't set it now either.

Also as I stated originally, the driver is the problem because it throws the error "custom resolution not supported" due to probably the missing default settings which were filled in in the previous driver.
