I need a suggestion for a video editing software that I can use to (for example) to take 100 photos, reorder the photos, set all photos to the same duration, apply a crossfade on all photos at a time.

I love Movie Maker. Meets my needs the best. Fatest way to achive my desiered result. However the lack of native 4k support annoys me. My photos are 8MP hence why I want 4k support.

My final destination for the videos I produce is YouTube and thus far when I use Movie Movie, I will re-encode the video in Shotcut to YouTube 4k preset before upload.

UPDATE

movie maker - lacks native 4k support

VSDC - creation of photo slideshow is easy. rotation control is troublesome. still lacks YouTube oriented export profile.

Blackmagic Disolve - youtube prefers mp4 and disolve does not export to mp4

Shotcut - time consuming

hitfilm express - rearranging photos challenging
