Get it. Its amazing. The Audiotechnica AT2020 sounds about the same, but its cheaper. The Yeti has a bunch of features but costs more. The features outweigh the costs imo. You decide. Here is my review - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/97671-blue-yeti-review/

USB I'd say the AT 2020. For an XLR only mic go with an MXL 770. But you get things like the Blue Icicle that convert XLR to USB.
