I'm in the process of planning my build (Ryzen 1700) I'm trying to decide if I should get the GTX 1660 ti or spend the extra coin on a RTX 2060. I only plan on 1080p gaming and I'm not too interested in the extra features on RTX cards. I should mention I'm planning on using this build for creating gaming videos and highlights and might explore into streaming later. I'm thinking to go with the 2060 but I can't decide if it's right for what I want to do.

just go with the 1660ti

the tiny performance boost isn't worth spending the extra $50

you should get 100+ easily on most games at 1080p easily anyways

unless you are using rtx(which you should upgrade to at least a 2070/2080) since the implementation is so bad currently you should just get the 1660ti

For 1080p gaming a 1060 or a RTX 2060 will give you 60fps locked.  If you want to game @ 1440p then you will need a 1070 or a RTX 2070.

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card

I was thinking the same, I figure that with the Ryzen 1700 and the 1660 ti I shouldn't have an issues recording and playing at the same time, worst case I bump the settings a little bit so it should work out

I only plan on playing and recording at 1080p right now considering that's still the most popular resolution I can always upgrade later, thanks for the input guys
