High end games crashes/freezing (repost/update)

Kotvald

Hello,

I bought my new PC recently and I have a problem, that "high end" games like Metro Exodus etc. are just crashing over and over and idk why... games like LoL and CS:GO works fine...

I tried everything to fix it, like updating every driver i could find, reinstaling windows, disabling multithreading, downgrading RAM clock speed atc.

Setup

CPU Ryzen 5 2600

GPU : Gigabyte RTX 2060

MB : Asus TUF Gaming B450-PLUS

RAM : Patriot Viper 16GB 3000MHz (running on auto mode at 2114MHz, bcs. 3000MHz doesn´t work...)

Cooling CPU is water cooled with 240mm Cooler Master

I ran a lot of stress tests too :

CPU Temp while cinebench  -  47C Stable

CPU Temp while "HeavyLoad" stress test  -  37C Stable

GPU Temp while "FurMark" stresstest 1080p 130FPS  -  74C Stable

RAM Test "MemTest86" - 0 Errors (longest 3 hours of my life...)

Power Supply Test "OCCT" - Sable (look down for pictures)

Let's start with the easy fix as it might also fix your main issue too...

Chances are the reason your RAM doesn't work at 3000 is because you haven't updated the BIOS for AGESA 1.0.0.6. Grab the latest bios and flash it please.

Updated my bios and when i choose 3000MHz+ then my PC can't boot up and it will put back on default settings...

When i have it on 2800MHz Metro Exodus will only load up to menu and crash buy when IT IS on 2114 it will crash like after 30 mins idk where is the problem...

It honestly sounds like your RAM is faulty. Try running MemtestX86 for at least one full pass to see if you get any errors.

Warning though, with 16GB of RAM it will take a very long time to finish.
