PWM not working

Adrian__

I have recently built my first PC and I am having issues with my pre-installed Aer F fans, When PWM is selected in BIOS, the fans will spin up to their max RPM and cannot be changed, despite the fact that NZXT says they support PWM and the connectors are 4-pin. DC does work for changing RPM.

Hmm thats indeed odd; those fans are listed as pwm ones alright.

I recently happen to have read this: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=291919.0

Different model tomahawk and slightly different issue but is indicative of some msi bios code being flaky with pwm fans.

So best bet at this time would be to check if there is a bios update available.
