Looking for dead components!

Hello every one, I was looking to build a new custom case, even have a corner wall mount hardwood case made but got inspired by something I seen on LTT. I'm going to build a desk pc with rgb lighting and such but will be lining the case with dead circuitry painted to feel very Star Wars esk. Then string small models of the ships to the glass. Then apply the functional components admits the scape.  Sound cool? So reason I'm posting here is I need help acquiring dead components.  Donating them would be great, but ideas to find or acquire them should help. If this post  still feels like it belongs elsewhere please help me out.  I'm a noob here.

or go to a literal scrapyard, ask them if you can buy stuff, and go the the computers section.

Thank you for the help, looks like ppl are asking for $30 to $80 for a useless mother board.... thats not happening.
