Fans Running at 100%

Whosonicus

So I've had this problem a few months after building this PC back in 2018, but it was so rare that it didn't bother me to ask for help.

Now It feels like its happening more often, making me worried of the fan's life span and other possible hardware effected.

When turning on my PC (either from sleep, or shutdown/restart) my fans would rev to 100% (very loud noise so I assume its 100%).

GPU, CPU or Power Supply Also spin, but hard to tell if they also run at full speed

Thanks in advance

Revving up to full speed for few secs before settling down? And only when booting or waking up? That's normal. It varies between mobos on what events trigger it. It's part of normal POST checks.

Fans won't wear out faster if you run them at rated voltages (aka full speed) and any benefits of running them at slower speeds are really miniscule.
