So, I'am trying to stream fortnite with my Intel core i5 7500 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB. Program I'am using is streamlabs and i know the problem is in encoder. Every time I use NVENC encoder, I experience a lot of input lag in fortnite. It's basically unplayable for me as a semi-pro player. On the other hand, the stream is running smooth. Atleast it is watchable. When i use Software (264x) encoder, i feel like gameplay doesn't change at all. The only issue is that game is not loading textures and stream is skipping frames, a lot of them. It's basically unwatchable. My internet connection is stable 50 download and 5 upload. Any advices? (I'am aiming for game experience as playing with software (264x) and stream quality with NVENC)

Are you sure your scenes and overlays are set up properly?

Make sure you got "game capture" and not "display capture" as this has caused many issues for me because I had multiple screens. Mainly describing the issue you have.

And are you directly streaming from the "Live" tab from Streamlabs?

Doesn’t NVIDIA have it’s own stream thing? Might be worth a shot. A lot of rust youtubers had used it.

Obs might be another good free option.

Also your streamlavs problem with x264 might be Bitrate. X265 should be a better encoder for cpu encoding.

Streamlabs uses the OBS platform. So I doubt that will resolve the issue.

As for the NVIDIA platform, you are not wrong, you can hook up any streaming service compatible and directly stream from there. Also the ability to have the overlay layout etc. Better off using that imo.

I already tried that a while ago and the streaming experience was just the same as with the NVENC encoder, laggy but watchable. I'am looking for the experience playing with x264 encoder, is there any way, that it is too difficult for my pc to stream with x264?

I have it saved as game capture and i'am streaming from live tab aswell. How do i try out x265 when it doesnt pop up in the stream labs? Also i'am at 2000 bitrate, is that too much for my upload?

No, that should be fine. What is your output resolution?

Ok, you could try using Shadowplay as capturing option or Intel QuickSync as renderer in OBS (I don't know if thats option in Streamlabs edition).

I've talked about shadowplay earlier and i dont see quicksync in streamlabs anywhere :/ what exactly does it do? I can probably switch to obs if theres no other option.

QuickSync requires that you enable iGPU and install driver for it. There's more detailed guide somewhere on doing it. Essentially you make virtual monitor which is then used for encoding.

So today i've tried it and it worked but it didn't suceed my expectations. It seems, like my internet is the problem. When i join public servers, game is slowed. When i create my own island, and play on it, i don't have any problems...

Is that 50/5 connection what ISP has rated it or what you get from Speedtest or SpeedOf.Me?

Both, my internet is pretty stable. Maybe upload is like always little under average. Just like 4.5 mbps

2000kbps shouldn't still be issue. If you lower it to 1800kbps, does that help?
