definitely go with the second one.

 

The first, the i5 2450m, might as well be a core i3.It has 2 cores and 4 threads.

 

The second, the i7 2670QM, is a full fledged quad core with 8 threads,with performance that is comparable to that of the i7 2600,though due to the lower clock speed it would most likely be closer to the i5 2500.

Hey i am looking into getting a laptop and since i dont know much about laptop cpu's i just wanted to ask how much can i expect from these cpu's . The first one is the Intel Core i5 2450M 2.50GHz and the second cpu is the Intel Core i7 2670QM 2.20GHz. If someone could compare them with desktop cpu's and tell me which cpu they come close to that would help me a lot . Thanks in advance !
