Hey guys, looking into upgrading my PC's speaker setup. I've had a Logitech X-540 5.1 surround setup for the past like 10 years or so. The issue is that since making my new desk, and having triple monitors, the wires on this speaker setup is limited, I'd have to mount the subwoofer to the underside of the desk or something for the extra cable length. I haven't been able to use the 5.1 aspects for quite some time as I'd have nowhere to sit the rear antennas.

I guess I'd prefer a great setup for a dual antenna system, the cost isn't too much of an issue or if it requires amp/dac etc, just looking for a nice setup. any recommendations?

Budget? you after surround or just stereo?

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Budget, mmm I guess maybe like 500 max if it was a nice(r) setup. It's been ages since I've done any kind of audio equipment research, so I wasn't sure if I'd need amp/dac, soundcard etc. Surround would be nice, but I don't think I'd have a permanent enough setup for it. So probably stereo for now.

Take a look at the edifier S1000DB bookshelf speakers, and the elipson prestige facet 6B BT bookshelfs, 300 pounds and 399 pounds :)
