I have 8 undervolted AP-15 in my rig right now and they're pretty quiet, not silent by any stretch of the imagination but its enough to know you're computer is on in a silent room. I don't know about the AP121 but I believe they're as quiet

that wasn't the question, and they're very expensive. not everyone has money to blow on them.

How about NF-P12, they are cheaper than the NF-F12 and just as awesome(and silent)

I believe they're running at around 1000 rpm

some fans will have the exact same decibel rating but be more noticeable then others. some people find louder fans with a certain sound profile to be better/more pleasant, then quieter fans that sound different.  so anything we say other then, pick what you want, is pretty meaningless.

I'm fine with the GTs sound profile, other people aren't.   i've never heard SP120s in real life, so (shrug)
