Cpu raccomendation

hi guys i'm building my htpc and i'm undecided about which cpu / mobo to buy,

the pc will be connected to a TV lg b7.

I currently own:

phanteks evolv shift x

kraken x62

thermaltake water 3.0 120 for nzxt g12

ram 16 gb 3200 mhz

ssd 1tb crucial p1 (not yet purchased, welcome suggestions)

rtx 2080 (the cheapest that I find to combine with nzxt g12)

psu corsair sf 600 platinum

 

which cpu and motherboard do you recommend? I would like to be able to play modern games at least at 1440p

B450 bird + 2700(x) or an 2600(x).

 

do keep in mind zen 2 will be released middish this year. If you were to go with a b450 board (or similar) there’s future upgradebility with same board.
