CPU OC not done right?

JustEbu

Hello lovely LTT-Community ❤️

I OC my Ryzen 7 1700X at 4GHz. But the Taskmanager just shows something with 3,70GHz to 3,80GHz. But on the right side it says "Base Speed 4GHz".

Or am i just overreacting?

Thanks! :)

task manager isn't very accurate, if you have your doubts then open ryzen master and take a look there

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Been having that issue ever since I switched to Ryzen. Don't worry tho, just use another app like HWiNFO64 or Ryzen Master.

HWiNFO64 shows my CPU at 3,991.3MHz. That looks sooo ugly :( Want to see the full 4GHz :/

I believe that's because of spread spectrum to reduce EMI. The clock will rarely to never run at exactly what you set it. It's not an issue, it's the way it's designed to make the system run better.
