Building my first pc

I’m building my first pc and I’m still in the process of ordering the parts. I have an MSI Z390 motherboard so far along with the case, Corsair ram, and the cpu cooler. So far I’m planning on ordering the i9 9900k coffee lake cpu and a gtx 1080 at some point. I was wondering if there was a different cpu and graphics card configuration that would work better for gaming. Thanks for the advice

8700k still a very good cpu and I would get a RTXnot a GTX. RTX2080

But pair 2080 + 9900 you have a beaut.
