Upgrading the Microcenter $1,699 ASUS ROG Strix Scar II RTX2070

Hello. So I bought this deal(https://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=877597&utm_source=20190129_eNews_Bestsellers_R5183&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=R5183&MccGuid=dae42d80-f759-4655-871a-7ef619004f57), it's the 15inch Strix Scar II with RTX2070. I've used it for a week now and have no problems. I wanted to get an SSD to boost storage since there is an empty 2.5inch drivebay that microcenter probably took out, however the empty driveway doesn't have an actual slot for plugging in the drive. What's up with this? How do people utilize empty drivebays like these? First three pics are of my computer that i've opened up, the last photo, I found an youtube review of the product and in their (non-microcenter) version they seem to have an HDD attached to the motherboard via a slot. Can Linus or someone give advice? Thanks

oh I found the little cable thingy in the box but it's so short it doesn't fit correctly
