Hey everyone, not sure if im doing things right, but I'll just say whats going on. I'm building my 2nd Pc, and I'm an RGB fan. So far, I've managed all my parts to use Asus Aura for the RGB, (Motherboard (ROG STRIX 450-F), GPU (RTX 2070 ROG STRIX) Fans, and LED strip). I kind of want to keep everything synced, but the only viable RGB Ram option I could find was the Trident Z, which uses Asus Aura. (G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3000C15D-16GTZR 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4).

I read up on some reviews of that RAM, and apparently the software is super buggy and doesnt even allow some games to run, and if anyone has any negative or positive experiences using that RAM, it would be hugely appreciated. If I dont get that RAM, Ill get the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro CMW16GX4M2C3000C15 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4, which uses ICUE, and ill just have it set on rainbows so they both look like rainbow and hopefully mesh together. Any feedback would be so super duper helpful, thank you! (BTW, I know im not being very economical, I just want a good quality lasting PC with brands I know and trust, although open to suggestions/feedback. Thanks again!)

There are tons of Aura Sync compatible RAM modules, including the Corsair RAM you mentioned. See this page from ASUS under the "Memory/Storage" tab.

I can tell you right now, iCue and Aura won't sync, Corsair made sure of that xD Vengeance RGB is advertised as Aura compatible on Corsair's website though (link, it's about half way down)

I haven't used Trident Z RGB personally, but I know multiple people that have it and haven't heard of any problems, and it syncs with Aura. I'd buy G.SKILL anyways over any other brand, even if it was a bit more expensive. I know Team RAM is relatively affordable, and should sync with Aura. You can look into those kits if you like.

My Build, v2.1 --- CPU: i7-8700K @ 5.2GHz/1.288v || MoBo: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming || RAM: 4x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 2666 14-14-14-33 || Cooler: Custom Loop || GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black, on water || PSU: EVGA G2 850W || Case: Corsair 450D || SSD: 850 Evo 250GB, Intel 660p 2TB || Storage: WD Blue 2TB || G502 & Glorious PCGR Fully Custom 80% Keyboard || MX34VQ, PG278Q, PB278Q

Audio --- Headphones: Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX || Amp: Schiit Audio Magni 3 || DAC: Schiit Audio Modi 3 || Mic: Blue Yeti

My Car --- 2006 Mustang GT || 5-speed || BBK LTs, O/R X, MBRP Cat-back || BBK Lowering Springs, LCAs || 2007 GT500 wheels w/ 245s/285s

The Experiment --- CPU: i5-3570K @ 4.0 GHz || MoBo: Asus P8Z77-V LK || RAM: 16GB Corsair 1600 4x4 || Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo || GPUs: Asus GTX 750 Ti, || PSU: Corsair TX750M Gold || Case: Thermaltake Core G21 TG || SSD: 840 Pro 128GB || HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

R.I.P. Asus X99-A motherboard, April 2016 - October 2018, may you rest in peace. 5820K, if I ever buy you a new board, it'll be a good one.

Thanks! I dont want to sound like an idiot, but the G.Skill Trident Z RGB F4-3000C15D-16GTZR 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 will work with an AMD RYZEN 5 2600x, right? I'm scared some things wont be compatible.

Look on your motherboards qualified vendors list. That said, it will likely work even if it’s not on there. There are thousands of different RAM SKUs and motherboard manufacturers can’t test them all. Like I said above, but whatever ram you want, it should be fine.
