Hello,

This is my first time here on the forum, and I really hope some of you that are well versed in hardware can offer some help!

This Christmas, I received all the parts I wanted to build my first work and gaming PC.  Here's my system specs:

Intel i9 9900k

ASUS Maximus XI Hero (Wi-Fi)

32Gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro @3200Mhz

Corsair HX 1200 PSU

ASUS Dual RTX 2080Ti

500Gb Samsung 970 Evo NVMe SSD

The system went together fine, and booted right up on the first try.  Installing windows was a pain, though, and required me to use a 2nd flash drive to boot from rather than the one I received from microsoft.

System worked beautifully for a few weeks, then I went away for vacation.  Unplugged the system and put it away in its box, to go back up to school with me.

Drove to school with the system in my truck, got up to school and set it up.  Worked fine for about a week.

I purchased some extra fans from enermax, but they weren't actually spinning.  The RGB lights worked just fine.  Proprietary connection to a hub.

I decided I was going to splice the fans to standard 2-pin fan connectors and 4-pin RGB connectors to get them to work. Also realized the AIO fans were pulling air the wrong way, and disconnected them.  After this, the system failed to boot.

Error code 00 showed up after this, and nothing I did would get rid of it.  I cleared the CMOS via both the button and by removing the battery.  I updated the BIOS.  I took the board out and booted on a box, nothing.  I tried each memory stick individually, still nothing.  GPU removal did nothing either.  The system was stuck at code 00 and would only budge occasionally, sometimes doing a loop of turning off and on again, showing code 7F, then switching to 00 afterward.

I mailed the board off to ASUS, they repaired it, and sent it back to me.  The report said that there was a bent CPU pin that had been fixed.

I immediately rebuilt the system and booted outside of the case first.  Success! I put everything into the case and set it back up on my desk with everything attached, and again, I was successful.

I watched a bit of youtube and played some Star Wars Battlefront 2 to kill the hour or so that I stayed up.  Left the system on overnight.

This morning, woke up, and needed to print something.  Installed my printer driver and the loads of bloatware included.  Went to uninstall the bloatware, and the system needed to restart to complete the uninstallation.  Upon restart, BAM, error code 00 shows up again, and I can't boot into my system.  All fans spin at 100%.  Sometimes if I press the power button it will turn on, immediately turn off, and cycle like this for 5 or 6 tries, then stick on code 00.

I just spoke with an ASUS customer service rep, and their advice yielded nothing, so I find myself with yet another RMA on my hands.  I do not have access to any other compatible hardware to try to isolate the problem.

Please if anyone has any idea of what might be going on, please let me know.  I've just become more and more frustrated with this and want it to be done with.  Thank you in advance for your thoughts and help!

P.S. - Sorry for being so wordy, I just wanted to make the entire situation known so everyone has the best possible understanding of this issue!
