This started while I was playing a game(RS3 to be exact :D) and my PC's screen, that is connected to the video card, suddenly went black(My other screen that is connected directly to the motherboad still showed discord, but nothing was responding). I tried restarting, but it didn't help, after the motherboard logo the screen just went black and after a while my monitor showed that there is no HDMI signal.

Then I went into safe mode, that worked, it wasn't crashing, I tried DDU, but when I went back into normal windows it went black after a while, I guess windows started installing the video drivers.

After that I reinstalled windows, this didn't help either, after I set windows up and windows started installing the drivers the screen went black again.

So I guess there is something happening with my video card. But maybe you guys have other ideas what is happening.

My PC's specs:

Mobo: Asus - Z87-K

GPU: Sapphire r9 290

CPU: Intel 4670K

RAM: 8gb DDR3(Don't remember exact model)

I'm having the same issue. Have you had any luck?

I narrowed it down to a display port issue with the latest amd drivers.

I've ordered a bunch of new DP cables to make sure they're not the culprit, but I updated the driver from 17.1 to 19.1/19.2 and the screen went black from that point forward.

I need to find a fix.
