Build suggestions needed.

IslandStone

Hi!
I'm building a brand new computer with all necessary parts form scratch.

Requirements: Run smoothly at 100-144hz at 1440p, AND being relatively quiet.

Budget: 1000 USD (a bit flexible) - Not including Monitor.

Any suggestions on how to cut costs etc ?

Here is my build so far:

In my country the total is aproximately 1360 USD.

Any Suggestions to swap parts etc. is welcome. Thanks!

The case doesnt have the best of airflow (just ok at that).

The PSU is rather overkill, so a point to save cost if you have to.

Okay, thanks for sharing knowledge about that regarding the case. I have no experience with it, just picked it because it was a cheap option. Do you have something to recommend in similar price-range?

I know the PSU is a overkill, and true I might be able to cut some costs from getting a cheaper/smaller one. Any recommendations?

970 evo is unnecessary for just gaming, get an MX500 instead.

Depends how long you plan on keeping your build for...  If you plan on having into 2020 and beyond then make the investment and grab the Ryzen 7 it will pay for itself as you will have it for long time.  Might as well do things right also your video card will thank you for the Ryzen 7..... I cant steer you at another direction, as you will be bitter with a Ryzen 5 and your video card will not like it and sh*T.

Yes I have come to realize the PSU is too much.
The computer will be used mainly for gaming, surfing, movies etc.

I like the thought about something a little future-proof. I am confident it's a build that will not be upgraded in at least 4-5 years.

Ryzen 7 sounds good, but it's got two different types am I correct? 2700 and 1700. I am wondering which one of the two Ryzen 7 models you would rather pick and why.

Thanks!
