Hello!

I know that i probably should wait for Ryzen 3, but theres still around 6 months until that and the prices might not be that good.

My current PC:
FX8350
an ASUS mobo.
16GB RAM
GTX 1070.

Currently, my ideas are.

Ryzen 1 Build.
CPU: R5 1600x (155€)
Mobo: MSI B450M GAMING PLUS (89€) or ASUS PRIME X370-A (96€)

RAM: G.SKILL RipjawsV DDR4 16GB 3000MHz CL15 (121€) ( / Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB (2x8GB) 2933MHz DDR4 DIMM SDRAM CL15 (137€) (other suggestions)

Ryzen Build 2.
CPU: R5 2600 (177€)
MOBO: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK (109€) / MSI Gaming PLUS x470 (131€)
RAM: G.SKILL RipjawsV DDR4 16GB 3000MHz CL15 (121€) ( / Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB (2x8GB) 2933MHz DDR4 DIMM SDRAM CL15 (137€) (other suggestions)

For suggestions, please check if the following site has it (https://arvutitark.ee

If you feel that you need to jump the gun now, get the 2600. The 1600x vs the 2600 is almost identical in performance, but the 2600 is newer and might OC a little better. Your other part selection seems alright.

Thanks for that suggestion. I also was thinking abit more and came to the following conclusion.
To get the following.
Ryzen 5 2600
Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite

G.SKILL Flare X (sobib AMD) DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz CL14 1.35V XMP 2.0

Why CL14? more future proofing. i can keep the RAM whilst i want to change the CPU and mobo. is this a good option?

G.Skill has some pretty good RAM. I've had good experiences with them in the past. I don't know too much about CL stuff, I've never fiddled with it.

As long as you get a B450 board or an X470 (only because they are newer) you'll be fine.

Until DDR4 gets totally replaced by something else, you can continue to use the kit you buy in new boards with new CPUs.
