Need a good IDE for Java on macOS

Hello, so I just started my first day of Intro to Java and I need an IDE that I can use with macOS. Preferably one with a dark mode.

Any suggestions?

Hi, a couple of year ago I took a Java class, the professor was using Eclipse but I decided to use IntelliJ IDEA instead, for an intro class I think you will be fine with the community edition, check it out: https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/

If I had to do a project with Java today I would either try Intelli J or Visual Studio Code with some addons

Have fun!

I agree. I've been using Intellij Community Edition on my 2013 MacbookPro for a couple of years now without any issues.
