So I'm planing to purchase following notebook with AMD HD 6900 graphics.

I googled and from a friend who fixes laptops I've been told that most of the older generations of alienware particular with HD 6000/7000 series have issue with graphics card overheating and dying. But I'm stubborn I like this model a lot and would like to buy it.
So far this notebook works OK.
So I want to know 2 things:
1. is this really true, what is your experience with this particular model, and any other issues with it?
2. is there a way to bypass amd graphics card and only use discrete one, just to save that 6900 from overheating?

I live in Bosnia so most of the those older cards don't ship here in Bosnia so basically 80 % is a chance that after the card dies laptop would be useless.
The price is 400 eur,maybe too much,huh?

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.
