Depends on what inputs your monitor has and what outputs your GPU has. Can you provide a picture

For best result go with displayport. But it doesn't really matter.

yes my monitor is 144hz

You can use DisplayPort for 144 Hz. HDMI may also be capable of 144 Hz, but that depends on the specific monitor.
