I was going to buy an r9 290 but then I decided to stick with my gtx670 untill maybe the 800 series. A gtx670 DCUII is on sale in sweden for 300 USD (2000 SEK) and that is a good ass price for me to get a second to SLI with. It comes with assasins creed IV and a mouse pad and shit like that. I wasnt planning on going SLI because of the 2gb of vram but in truth will that hold me back if I only game on a single 1080p monitor? And no, I dont mod skyrim

Wait for the 800 Series should be around Q3, 1 670 will do you fine

I had 2 asus 670s. I love it. But I sold one of em to my buddy and my other 670 plays everything just fine especially when I overclock it. (DirectCU2 overclock pretty well) Wait for the 800 series gpus. That's what I'm doing.

Just SLI those bad boys. There isn't a single game at the moment that can't be played on ultra with 2 gtx 670s.

On 1080p, this configuration will last you a good 2 years before you need to upgrade again.

Waiting for the 800 series is another option, but be prepared to hold off for quite some time until the high end models start showing up (not to mention that they will cost pretty damn much at launch).
