Advice on installing SSD

Tog Driver

I want to add an SSD to my rig, My Motherboard has 2 Sata 6 ports and 2 Sata 3 ports, both Sata 6 are used by my main and secondary drives and one Sata 3 port is used by my Disk drive, so all I have open is one Sata 3, how should I proceed? I don't want to have to move one of the drives to Sata 3 but I don't really know what else I can do? is there some kind of Sata splitter or something?

Any advice (other then getting a different mother board) would be appreciated!

Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
        In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
        In Flanders fields.

Just move the hdd to a sata 3 port and plug your ssd into a sata 6 port

I use both my HDDs so I really don't want to have to move one to a Sata 3, is that the only option?

No hdd is fast enough to fill up sata 3gbit, so there will be no speed difference.

Oh, really? okay, that makes this a lot easier, Thanks!

Will changing where something is plugged in make any difference? will it need to re-discover the drives or something?

you can just change the port, that won't make a difference.

Okay, I'm planning on using the SSD as a boot drive, would I just need to install Windows onto it and change the Boot device?

Yep install windows on the ssd, then change the drive in the boot menu. Id unplug the other drive when installing to make sure the bootloader ends up on the right drive(you want it on your ssd) and that you dont wipe the wrong drive by accident.
