Linux (Elementary OS) Installation Problems

Go to solution Solved by yh8404,

So i was tweaking the bios and found out that i needed to boot the pxe then the hdd. also i have pata(IDE) hdd so i set that as the primary memory thing.

anyways bios tweaking=working :D

I'm trying to install elementary OS through a bootable USB. I've used both power ISO and pendrivelinux to load the installation files. each time, it boots the usb normally and goes through the entire installation without problems, until it asks me to restart. after i click restart now, it restarts, skips the bios and displays "Read Error" could you please give me some help.

(also i'm using a really old IDE hard drive, which actually might be the problem if it's damaged or something)

Possibly try a different USB stick and extract the ISO to the stick using WinRAR.

Also, does the word chungus mean anything to you?
