Need help amd or ryzen

Hey guys need help again

Should i go for the ryzen 3 2200g or intel3 or 5 i dont know what gen i can afford though. Looking for speed and also in a budget price can also buy 2nd hand intel because there are more intel 2nd hands than ryzen around

Price of Ryzen 3 2200g here is around 100$ or 5k ph pesos
My budget is around 10k for the mobo proc and 3k for the ram sticks around 200$ and 70$

Ill pair it with my
Gtx1050ti
Corsair vs550

Someone offered me A intel i5 7th gen and a mother board H110M-V for 200$

this is the closest I got...

I would take the 2200g personally, as a "7th gen I5" can be everywhere between a 7400 and a 7600k

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant
Type Item Price
CPU AMD - Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor $94.99 @ Amazon
Motherboard ASRock - B450 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard $64.99 @ Newegg
Memory Team - Vulcan 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $89.99 @ Newegg
Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts
  Total (before mail-in rebates) $264.97
  Mail-in rebates -$15.00
  Total $249.97

https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-7400-vs-AMD-Ryzen-3-2200G/3886vsm441832

as you can see here, the 2200g is a bit faster, and can overclock on a b or x series motherboard

Only problem for me is that how they handle the ram. I can only buy 1 stick right now of 8gb 2666mhz which cpu can best make use of that

amd prefers more bandwith, but you can overclock ram

would 2x4 be a problem for you?

My plan is that i was going to buy 1x8gb now and buy another one to make use of the dual channel mode because they say 16gb is the sweetspot

it is, but if you get a mobo with 4 slots, you can directly get dual channel, as that is ideal on ryzen, but it isn't a big problem. I would get a higher speed ram, or not being afraid to overclock it to at least 2800 mhz

Im getting the gigabyte DS3H B450 motherboard.. I want to get dual channel but 2 x 8gb is way out of budget right now. Ill try looking for 2 x 4 gb for now and upgrading to 2x 8gb in the future

Dont they sell any MSI products in your country, or are they all at higher prices?

I have to agree its better to have 2 sticks from the start as ryzen prefers dual channel above single. Also get the highest clocked ram you can get in your budget as, again, good for ryzen

my choises would be to buy that aorus m, because those prices on the aorus pro seem a bit too high to me (hard to say tho as you didn't list a currency, but still)

that prime and tuf board are a waste of money, and the aorus m at least has a vrm shield.

isn't there anything from msi or asrock availible over there?

There are a few shops here that are not in the mall and they are all overpriced. Much more in the mall. The place where i got those prices are the cheapest

Cant seem to find them locally, can only. Get them via shipping but the problem in ph is that shipping things that cost that much is scary because there are tons of scams and the procedure to return them are too long

I found the B450-M PROM2 and MSI B450M Gaming Plus both are within budget and the MSI B450M Mortar is 1000php more expensive around 20$

the gaming plus is best out of those 2, but the mortar might just be worth that extra 20 bucks imo
