I wanted some help with networking.

i plan to buy the NETGEAR xr700 which has a 10gb sfp+ and I wanted some suggestions on a pcie expansion card to put in my pc which would allow me to connect the 10 gb sfp+ port to have a direct connection to my pc.

yes I know it’s overkill but I plan on setting up a web server at some point.

Still completely unnecessary even for a webserver (unless you're planning for corporate website traffic levels) and that's ignoring the fact there is no way your external connection is 10gb. These things are designed for moving large files around internally at hyper fast speeds (for example Linus uses SFP to dump videos on to his ingest server) or data centres that do have 10gb of bandwidth to play with.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)
