I have been keeping up with a Frankenstein computer for almost a decade now (i mean like 7 years but still) I feel like my bottleneck is my cpu/motherboard at the moment but I have a few questions but before I get there here are my specs:

CPU: Intel i7 960 3.2 GHz

motherboard: sabertooth x58

GPU: MSI GEFORCE 970 4G

16GB RAM

Basically, I had some troubles with my previous graphics card so I found one on the cheap and it worked great until I had to get a new monitor but it only has a display port out that will work with this monitor that I got for free. but whenever my system goes to sleep it comes back with some super blurry picture if it wakes up at all. Any help would be much appreciated although since the motherboard and CPU are the only ones except my first two drives to not be replaced within the past few years I can't see it being anything but that.... actually my ram is just as old but not only is my motherboard's memok shining ok but I ran memcheck as well
