So it's just the Windows folder on my hard drive? Is it ok if I delete it while windows is running or is there a way to delete it in the bios? 

After everything is up and running on the SSD, you can delete the OS files you don't need/want in file explorer.

I just purchased my first SSD and I was wondering what is the best way to go about installing it. I have a 1tb HDD right now. Should I clear the hard drive and do a fresh install of windows on the SSD or is there another option?

You could migrate your OS over but it's best to do a fresh install.

You don't need to wipe the storage drive. Just delete what you don't need anymore.

 

And...Congrats. The SSD experience makes your PC feel as it should.

The windows folder will be there. You can delete it. When I eventually backed up my important files on to another drive, then I formatted it. It just depends if you have 130Gb of family photos and videos like I did.
